Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Rs. 5,000 relief package, applicants must:
- Be Pakistani nationals.
- Belong to low-income families.
- Be registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or the Ehsaas Programme.
- Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Have a mobile number registered in their name associated with a digital wallet.
- Not be receiving financial assistance from other government welfare programs.
- Have a poverty score below 32%.
- Priority is given to widows, disabled individuals, and daily laborers.
Registration Process:
Eligible individuals can register for the relief package through the following methods:
- SMS Registration:
- Open the messaging app on your mobile phone.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC number without spaces.
- Send this message to 9999 using a SIM card registered in your name.
- Await a confirmation message regarding your eligibility.
- Online Registration:
- Visit the official Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) website.
- Enter your CNIC number and other required details.
- Submit the application and wait for a confirmation message.
Disbursement of Funds:
- Digital Wallets: Funds will be transferred directly to beneficiaries’ digital wallets, such as Easypaisa and JazzCash.
- Bank Transfers: Beneficiaries can also receive funds through designated banks like HBL and Bank Alfalah.
- Collection Centers: For those without digital wallets or bank accounts, cash can be collected from designated centers after verification.
Important Dates:
- The distribution of the Rs. 5,000 cash relief began in the first week of March 2025.
